I loved Ayara Thai. I met the awesome owner Vanda, and she cooked up some thai magic for us. The "When tigers cry" tomahawk chop was served up with three different thai dipping sauces it was fantastic. Duck tacos were equally awesome with a spicy thai pineapple salsa, and a clever rice based tortilla for it. The pad thai noodle was excellent served With a giant grilled shrimp on top. All in all an excellent meal. Great flavors, very authentic food. Ive been to oaxaca, so i know.

This is my new go to spot when I need to eat after a long flight into LAX airport. I just got back from Miami and when we landed we were so hungry. We wanted soup, so when I yelped soup at 9:00pm on a Sunday night, I found Ayara Thai. I saw they had Tom Yum and Tom Kha and just knew this is where I needed to be. When we arrived at 9:20pm they were not taking anymore walk ins but I told them we knew what we wanted and would be fast. The cashier was so nice and let us sit and order. We ordered Muay Thai Wings, Classic Papaya Salad, Tom Kha Hotpot, and Drunken Noodles. It was so much food for 2 people and so delicious! Our waitress Jean was very nice and bubbly, great energy! The place was packed and the ambiance was small and intimate with A lot of friends getting together or date nights. The prices were reasonable and there was tons of parking. I decided this is my new spot when in this area of town. I came back a week later on a Saturday at 6pm after picking up my niece from the airport and it was packed with an hour wait. I wanted to have their food so bad and I was happy to see they offered takeout and actually have outside seating where you can eat. This time the two of us ordered Tom Yum, Spicy Basil Pork Belly, and of course the drunken noodles which is my favorite dish! I liked the Tom Yum better than the Tom Kha and for me the pork belly was a bit too salty, but my niece loved it. I can't wait to try more stuff on my next trip home from the airport.

Decided to stop by for the lunch special back when I was in my Thai food era. I'm always down to try a popular spot and even better if specials are offered so Ayara Thai was an easy choice. I ordered a medium papaya salad, beef pad see ew, and a Thai tea in the lunch special on their website. It's street parking in front of the restaurant but wasn't difficult for me to find a spot close enough during the beginning of lunch rush. It was a bit longer of a wait than what I was quoted when I placed the order but nothing unacceptable. The papaya salad was super spicy, the spice meter is definitely the Thai kind. The pad see ew tasted good, noodles not gummy like I'm always worried they might be. It was a bit strange to receive the Thai tea in a bottle, but the flavor was good and helped soothe my tongue after the papaya salad very much wiped me out. They have a pickup window right off the sidewalk and a clear list of condiments and utensils so you don't forget anything. There is some outdoor seating in case you arrive early and don't want to walk the distance to wait in your car. I wouldn't say it's the best Thai food I've ever had or even that the lunch special is a great value, but I'm glad to have discovered a satisfying new spot and wouldn't be opposed to coming back again.

We came here as a group of 6 on a Friday night and the wait for a table wasn't too long. We sat outside and there was an outdoor heater lamp to keep us warm. The service was warm and friendly, and pretty attentive. They checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. I got the pad se ew and the calamari and my partner got the pad Thai. The pad se ew was pretty basic, tasted good. The calamari was my favorite, I think - crispy with flavorful sauce. My partner's pad Thai tasted a bit off. It wasn't bad but just different from what we're used to tasting at other Thai restaurants. My friend's chicken wings were small pieces, but were pretty crispy and yummy. Since we were a "large" group, they automatically charged a 20% gratuity on our receipt, so make sure you check the receipt when asked for additional tip to the bill on their electronic screen. There is also a free parking lot near the restaurant.

At Ayara "Thai Spicy" means spicy! My hat comes off to this place. They're family owned and have been in business over 20 years! The family works here. This spot is a stones throw from LAX. The tam yum soup family style was amazing and perfect level of spice. Great presentation served on a burner The drunken noodles were "Thai spicy" and you get what you ask for here. A generous portion, we had plenty of food left over. (I'm used to receiving mild when I ask for spicy) I am glad to have found this gem, it will save me a drive into the valley

Serendipitously discovered this restaurant by seeing it mentioned the week before my LA trip on the @yelpla Instagram. Thought it looked good, looked it up, and was stoked to find out it was close to my hotel! I am bummed that I wasn't around for the weekend to take advantage of their special February dessert tasting menu, because it looked divine. Still, was excited to dine at such a reputable Thai restaurant. When I rocked up in my Uber at peak dinner time, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. I was a little nervous I wouldn't be able to nab a table, but when the host greeted me they confirmed there was room for one and sat me immediately. I started with a Thai iced tea with lime, which tasted really refreshing and vibrant and reaffirmed that my tastebuds were in for a treat. I went for the Chu-Chee salmon because I wanted a curry and that seemed like the most unique one, opposed to staples like massaman or panang. Full disclosure, I do regret my choice a bit. The fish was underwhelming. It wasn't bad, it just tasted like standard salmon - all of the other seafood I had in Cali was super fresh, this just tasted like common salmon you'd get anywhere. Probably shoulda gone for shrimp, or maybe sprung for crab or lobster. Vegetables were a bit al dente - just carrots and broccoli, would have been ace with peppers and onions too. This is probably like a 4.5 but I'm going to round up to a 5 because this was the best darn curry I've ever had in my life. Flavor was a 10/10. Amazingly creamy, perfectly seasoned. I'd definitely come back and try other options if I was in LA again. A great Thai place!
